Wednesday 30th January, Soundreef subscribers were payed their royalties regarding:
- LIVE performances | 4th quarter 2018
- YOUTUBE plays | 4th quarter 2018
- IN-STORE circuit plays| 2nd semester 2018
Both the number of earnings and rightsholders keep rising; this is excellent news for our songwriters and publishers.
Soundreef authors and publishers ended 2018 on a good note. In fact, both live events and online & in-store plays registered positive trends. A few days before the 4th quarter reports and payments were due (October-December), songs registered to Soundreef experienced an unprecedented increase in their use which, in turn, resulted in higher earnings.
Concerts by artists and publishers subscribed to Soundreef keep growing as well: in the last year, the number of Soundreef live events has increased by 176% resulting in an 80% annual increase in rightsholders’ earnings.
Our In-store service was no different, registering an 8.9% increase in 2018’s 2nd quarter, proving its importance. In fact, in the past 3 years it has led to a 50% increase in the number of artists who have collected royalties from the circuit.
There’s also been an increase in the number of songwriters who’ve collected royalties from our online service. Both well-known and independent artists have generated a total of 1.5 billion streams, which have already been payed.
“These incredible figures confirm our growth trend and highlight the fact that songwriters and publishers have been using the functionality of our services more and more” – stated Francesco Danieli, Soundreef LTD’s CEO– “We are thrilled to see that the constant transparency and discussion with our subscribers has brought noticeable improvements to our system and services which, in turn, has led to an increase in their use”.
“Once again, we are thrilled that our artists’ earnings have increased exponentially. This means not only that our authors and publishers make quality and relevant music, but also that out monitoring and reporting system has no flaws. This is why so many independent artists are joining us” – stated Davide D’Atri, Soundreef’s founder and CEO. “Our artists’ trust is extremely valuable to us, and proves we are on the right path”.
