Best-selling Italian rapper J-Ax recently celebrated his 25th anniversary in music. And it was a grand celebration, with 10 completely sold-out shows at the Fabrique, one of the trendiest clubs in Milan.
And now, just seven days from the last show at the Fabrique, J-Ax and his publisher Willy L’Orbo can already see the royalty reports for these shows in their accounts.
Alessandro Aleotti, a.k.a. J-Ax, now has all the details about the events and royalties earned for each show and for each hit he performed, songs that are part of Italian hip hop history.
This is not a gift for his 25-year-long music career: these are simply Soundreef standard reporting timings, and apply to every rights holder. Now songwriters and publishers don’t have to wait for up to 12 months to be provided with their royalty reports for live events. With Soundreef they have this information seven days after the shows, and payments every 90 days.
“Ten celebration shows – says J-Ax – and I felt honoured to be “J-Ax, one of us!” as my audience shouted affectionately. With these ten shows a new record of consecutive live events was marked, after the seven shows I played 3 years ago. I chose to return to the club, rather than play 3 indoor arena shows, because I wanted to feel close to my fans, to “touch them” with my eyes and sing along. It wasn’t just my celebration: we all shared it, I shared it with my staff and my old friends. After a few days my choice to be with Soundreef proves to be the right one: we already have the royalty reports available, thanks to a technologically advanced system that confirms Soundreef’s great expertise and transparency”.
